Mitchell State Park

March 26, 2022

Cadillac, MI

Somehow, I managed to miss the entrance for this park three times before finally pulling in to the trailhead. A man passes us on cross country skies, having witnessed the entire debacle. He laughs and waves, shouting out a welcome as he continues down the trail. The snow here is deep. I continue to grumble over the fact that winter is over. But it is beautiful none-the-less.

As we get to the main trail loop, Gob pauses to make a snow angle.

And as we come full circle, he must make another.

Near the end, Gob is forming snowballs between his toes. We try to run the remaining mile or two, but it was probably more of a penguin waddle.
