Lakeport, MI
I bribe Mason into joining me by promising yummy food in Detroit after our trip. With no trail listed on the park website or Alltrails, we assume this will be a short jaunt to the lake and back. Instead, we find a beautiful trail through the woods. We follow it to the end (likely a half mile or less) before turning to the water.

The waves appear frozen in motion. Thick ridges of ice and snow stretch the shoreline, begging us to come explore. We make our way to the last ridge. Here we can see the cold shiny water lapping up the sides, building a new ridge. Alas, we cannot walk to Canada. So we turn around.
