L’Anse, MI
Only my dog, in the middle of a rainstorm, would jump out of the car and land on a bee. In October. He yelps and shoves his paw into my face so that I can remove the stinger. But like the champ that he is, Gob walks it off and demands that we at least attempt our hike.
The rain has diminished to a mere misting at this point. Unfortunately, it hasn’t scarred away any fellow hikers.
Gob takes every opportunity to dip his paws in the cool stream, although this is nothing new.

Another lovely waterfall. It makes me curious how one becomes a state scenic site, and another simply a roadside park. Perhaps I will never know.
