Hubbell, MI
I debated skipping this stop out of sheer laziness. But Gob is getting antsy. And the recent rain means that the falls will likely be quite impressive. Plus the itinerary says we have to.
The first thing we come upon is a small dam and overflow. I start to get grumpy thinking I misread something and this was our final destination. We keep following the stream, and thankfully I am wrong.

We hit the Upper Falls. Gob takes this opportunity to dip his toes. My regrets vanish.

As we start back down, I notice signs for a middle and lower falls. I am intrigued, so we continue. The middle falls are more impressive than the upper. I do tend to favor middle order (*winks to husband*).

I can hear the lower falls before I can see them. By the sound, they’re definitely the biggest of the bunch. Unfortunately, there is no way to the bottom and not a great safe view from the top. We continue downstream until we reach a bridge. I hope there will be better access from the other side. I am wrong.

As we near the car, a passing hiker asks if there are any waterfalls nearby. I laugh, thinking he is joking in a midwesternly manner. But his serious look causes me to quickly stifle the laugh and assure him that he is close.
