Onsted, MI
Tired of Gob moping and pouting that he had missed our last adventure, I agreed to take him for a little trip of his own.

He insisted on his own frozen lake adventure, but 2 days and 200 miles south, the ice proved to be too thin. As puddles formed in our footprints, we stuck to the shore and instead explored the fishing dock.

A short trail through the woods beckoned. The snow was the perfect consistency for a slow jog. With Gob securely fastened to my waist, we were off. Everything was going great until we saw the deer. At that moment, my slow jog turned into more of an all-out sprint. Gob loves a good chase. But as they disappeared around a bend, we lost track of them. Tired from our sprint, we walked the remainder of the loop.

On our way out, we stopped at the main lake/beach/day use area. We stumbled upon a pirate ship. Gob became the captain.
