Belle Isle State Park

April 2, 2022

Detroit, MI

I have returned for a brief view of some exhibits. The aquarium (not pictured) and the botanical garden. Enjoy some flowers!

COVID has kept me away from the city. I was saving this park for a day that I could go into the different exhibits, but I fear that day might not come for a while. So I’m done waiting for things to get back to normal. I load Gob into the car, grab my mask, and head to Detroit. We will see what we can, and come back for the rest at a later date.

Destination #1: SUNSET POINT. Yes, it is mid morning, but I don’t have all day.

Destination #2: JAMES SCOTT MEMORIAL FOUNTAIN. It’s a short walk from sunset point. And of course, it is turned off for the winter.

Destination #3: LIVINGSTONE MEMORIAL LIGHTHOUSE. And small taste of nature.

Destination #4: CONSERVATORY. Probably the best known attraction of Belle Isle. A wonderful study of symmetry.
