Pinckney, MI
You always remember your first. First Michigan State Park that is. For me it was Pinckney Rec Area. We were contemplating a move to the state, had newly converted our minivan into a camper, and had just purchased kayaks. So obviously the best way to gather decision-making-evidence was a road trip. Enter stop #1. We roll in to the campsite in the dark. I haven’t seen stars like this for a while. First impression: I like this place.
The next morning, we take to the woods. In true midwestern form, they are lush and full of water.
We take some time to relax by the lake. Mason reads a book. Gob chews a bone. Mel (our minivan) airs out. I take some pictures.
